2022 FHS XC, Plenty of New Faces

The recruiting process for cross country is a daunting task high school coaches have to endure each year. At the end of last season, FHS XC had only one female student-athlete finish the season and compete at Sectionals. Albeit, that one athlete was Andrea Burns, who carried the torch for our FHS XC Girls Team and ran some of the fastest race times our girls' team has posted in a few years.

This year, our girls' team will look a bit different with an influx of new faces. Devyn Montiel, who took has been a part of the program in increments over the last 2 years, is ready to make her final year at FHS one to remember. Our lone female senior has a renewed focus and is working hard to lead the way for our girls' team, alongside Burns.

Newcomers Kylee Clayton, Madison Cruz, Emily Fedor, Zora Fedor, Hannah Garcia, Alexandria Garcia, Elsie Hansen, Sydney Lake, and Sarryah West, bring some new talent to the table. While all of these young ladies are new to our sport, they are working hard and learning what it takes to be a cross country athlete.

On the boys' side, Senior Sean Prendergast looks to lead the way for the group of 5 returners that make up our entire boys' roster. Tyler Krizan, Aiden Lee, Devon Lindenstein, and Kutuba Zimba are all looking to improve on the marks they set last season for FHS XC.
