Elsie Hansen, Blayze Coronel Start Out Fast

Elsie Hansen and Blayze Coronel became focal points of summer conditioning. Their efforts during the off-season would pay dividends right from the start of our 2024 season.

FHS XC traveled to Stefan Gollob Park on 9/11/24 to open our competition season at the Palo Verde Magnet HS Meet. The sand and dirt that make up the bulk of the course are always difficult to navigate, but Hansen and Coronel both took the lead right from the start in their respective races. Coronel, competing in his first cross country race ever, finished 1st overall in the boy's race (21:35). Hansen finished 1st overall in the girls' race (30:03), proving she is ready to take on the '24 competition season.
