New Additions, Renewed Energy

Bryce Coffey and Aseya Arzate proved to be cornerstone leaders for FHS XC during their time at FHS. Steven Prendergast, in his only season with FHS XC, was an immediate positive influence. With all 3 graduating in May, that left some big holes within the FHS XC Program.

During the spring of 2020, several student-athletes who competed in the mid-distance and distance races for the FHS Track & Field Program showed promise as potential cross country runners. Andrea Burns, Devon Lindenstein, and Kutuba Zimba finished off their freshmen years making solid improvements as the track season progressed. Amber Smalls, in her sophomore year, turned heads in the hurdle events.

All 4 of these student-athletes, now in their sophomore and juniors years respectively, are entering into their 1st season of cross country competition. These new additions are providing Head Coach Nicholas Lewis some promise for the 2021 competition season.
