Seniors Celebrate at Sectionals

Aseya Arzate has become a focal point of the FHS XC program over the last 3 years. Arzate improved her athletic performance each year, and coming off her PR setting race at the Eye of the Tiger Invitational she ran her second fastest 5K race at Sectionals (30:02.9).

Steven Prendergast was one of several new additions to the FHS XC program this season. Prendergast, in his only season of cross country competition, improved his times with each race he ran. After setting his PR at the Eye of the Tiger Invitational, Prendergast, like Arzate, ran his second fastest 5K race at Sectionals (33:54).

Bryce Coffey stuck with the lead pack from the start of the race at Sectionals, a race which led to a footrace as the runners approached the finish line. Coffey was 11th overall with his 18:13.8 finish, securing a medal and a spot at next week's Division III State Championships along the way.
