FHS Track and Field started the 2023 season with our Home Meet on 2/28/23, and we had plenty of standout performances. Seniors Wrangler Guilliams and Lillian Hansen led the way with 1st Place performances in their events. Guilliams took 1st in both the shot and discus, while Hansen finished 1st in the 400m. Juniors Josh Jackson and Devon Lindenstein turned in top performances as well. Jackson finished 1st in the 200m and 2nd in the 100m. Lindenstein finished 1st in the 1600m.
Our new additions made their marks as well. Sophomore Kendall Thompson joined the team not knowing what events she wanted to compete in. She tried her hand at the hurdle events and came in 1st Place in the 300m hurdles. Freshmen newcomers Zora Fedor, Elsie Hansen, and Elizabeth Stone had their first shot at track & field competition with stand-out performances. Hansen finished 1st in the 800m and 2nd in the 1600m. Fedor finished 2nd in the 100m and 3rd in the 200m. Stone finished 1st in the discus.
