FHS T&F from the Toe Board

Sean Prendergast added the long jump and triple jump to his list of events last season. Just as he was last season, Prendergast started out as our team's only triple jumper this season.

Freshman Zora Fedor joined the FHS Track & Field Program and was an immediate impact in the sprints. After watching the long jump at our Home Meet on 2/28/23, Fedor decided she wanted to give it a try. At our very next meet, hosted by Poston Butte HS, she finished 1st Overall in the long jump (14-1). She was also a top finisher in the 100m and 200m that afternoon.

Midway through the season, E.C. Turk-Francis made her way into the triple jump. Having previous experience in this event in youth track & field, she became an immediate impact in this event. Turk-Francis and Prendergast consistently turned in top-3 marks throughout the season.

Alongside the success he earned in the long and triple jumps, Prendergast was a member of the Varsity Boys' 4 x 400m Relay Team that qualified to compete at the AIA Division IV Championships.

Fedor's 1st Place long jump (15-3) at the Sabercat Co-ed Relays and Turk-Francis's 2nd Place triple jump (31-1.75) at the Pinal County Championships were marks that qualified both athletes to compete at the AIA Division IV Championships.
