Jackson Finds His Stride

Josh Jackson narrowly missed out on qualifying for State Championships in 2022. As much success as he had during the season, he didn't meet the standards for State.

At the start of the 2023 season, Jackson got to work early. His finishes at our Home Meet on 2/28/23 were just the beginning. Jackson was a top finisher in both the 100m and 200m races in every meet we attended this season. At our Home Meet on 4/12/23, he finished 2nd in the 100m and 200m. He went on to put together a 4th place finish in the 100m at the Sentinel Invite on 4/22/23. His finishes at the Pinal County Championships on 4/21/23 (11.54), the Sentinel Invite on 4/22/23 (11.73), and the East Valley Qualifier (11.55) were his top automated 100m times posted in his track & field career.

On top of his individual events, Jackson ran anchor leg for the 4 x 100m relay which saw top finishes throughout the season. During the middle of the season, he was also added to the 4 x 400m relay team. This addition proved successful, as the Varsity Boys' 4 x 400m Relay qualified to compete in the AIA Division IV Championships.

After just missing out on State last year, Jackson earned his chance to compete at State in the 100m and the 4 x 100m relay.
